For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
" The size and shape of the wood really doesn't matter, every piece has worth and can be shaped into something unique and beautiful." Mark Chavez
Before Christ we are dead in our sin
As it is written there is none righteous, not even one, there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God, all have turned away, they have together become worthless, there is no one who does good, not even one. Romans 3:10
We are a work in progress
For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works lest any man should. For we are Gods workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:8
A New Creation
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
As the sculptor cuts, shapes, sands and chisels the old stump, it slowly begins to take shape and begins its transformation into something useful and beautiful. In the same way God can transform your life into something useful and beautiful, will you let Him?
What must I do to change?
1.All have sinned. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.(Romans 3:23)
2.Sin brings death. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.(Romans 6:23)
3.God loves me. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)
4.I must repent. He who covers his sins shall not prosper but he who confesses and forsakes his sins shall have mercy.(Proverbs 28:13)
5.I must receive Christ. Behold I Stand at the door and knock, if any man hears my voice and opens the door, i will come in and sup with him and he with me.(Revelation 3:20) But to as many recieved Him, to them He gave the power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.(John 1:12)
